I have invested ~50 hours in playing Exiled Kingdoms and am upgrading to a new phone soon. I'd like to ensure I can safely transfer my saved game files to the new device, but I have been unable to successfully do so. Any help is much appreciated.

Device Specs: iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.3
EK Version: 1.0.1030, Fully Paid

Method 1: Export to Google Play Games
  1. Connected Google account to EK
  2. Click on 'Continue Game'
  3. Click on 'Export & Cloud Save'
  4. Click on 'Save to the Cloud'
  5. Response "The operation failed. Error code: 22"

Note 1: I've tried this with multiple Google accounts with the same issue.
Note 2: Connecting to the Google Play Games service constantly causes Exiled Kingdoms to crash, so this is not an ideal method. The crashing typically happens upon loading the home screen, once the service disconnects, but sometimes it happens when I am in a sub-menu of the home screen. In order to stop the crashing, I must disconnect the Play Games service.

Method 2: Export to a File
  • Click on 'Continue Game'
  • Click on 'Export & Cloud Save'
  • Click on 'Export your saves to a file'
  • Select 'Yes' upon prompt for exporting the saved games to EK.bak
  • Response "Backup done correctly at file EK.bak" returned.
  • I cannot find this file anywhere when using iExplorer or iFunBox

Feature Request
If none of the above methods will be fully supported for iOS, can you please explore one of the two following features:
  • Allow Exiled Kingdoms to support iTunes file sharing enabled so that the saved games files can be accessed by connecting to iTunes directly.
  • Allow Exiled Kingdoms to support iCloud syncing (or Game Center).

Thanks. I'm fairly certain Root Explorer is for Android only. I'm trying to accomplish this on the iOS version of EK. Is there an iOS version of Root Explorer that I'm not seeing in the link you sent me (there's one on the App Store for $2.99, but it doesn't look very reliable).

Indeed I need to find an alternate method of cloud saving for iOS, as Google API worked fine originally but some iOS devices (about 25%) are now not syncing correctly. However, the development tools used to create the game limit my options here; it might take me a while to solve it.

Anyways the file sharing method was not working due to an error, I fixed it and the new iOS update should be available within a few days, so at least you'll be able to transfer it to/from your desktop (with iTunes file sharing enabled you won't even need ifunbox, itunes will be enough).

Thank you, DavidBVal! iTunes file sharing is definitely a huge help in this case. I can’t wait for the new update to try it. Cheers!

It just became available for download on App Store.

At some future point I'll try to find an alternative cloud save system for iOS.
