To start this quest, you must have Adaon as your companion (no, no duh this time), completed Trial and Error and A Mad Wizard without resorting to violence towards Janod. Adaon will say this right after you step foot into Freeport:
Adaon: So here we are, Freeport, the worst among the worst places in Varannar, the worst among the worst slums, and the place where you should REALLY be careful and to always watch your back. Otherwise, your precious belongings like gold, trinkets, or even equipments like fancy jewelries or rings would be the local thieves' target to steal and...
Just after Adaon says 'target', a thief steals your gold. You lost all your gold.
Adaon: ...aaaaaand it's gone.
You: This is not the time for idle chats! Let's get that damn thief!
Adaon: Don't worry. He should be hiding around here. Maybe around the inn.
*Quest Starts, and at this point, you can not make Adaon leave the party*
You will find the thief hiding around the inn.
Thief: Wha- What?! How did you... He-hey, look, sir, I'm-I'm sorry for stealing your gold, okay? Here, you can have the gold! Please don't hurt me!
Adaon: Yeah, right, you will give us back our gold, AND your stolen gold.
You:
a. Just let him be, Adaon.
b. Yeah, fork all your gold to us. Now!
Thief:
a. Ye-yes! Listen to the good man, sir. (To Adaon) A-alright, I-I'm sorry for bothering you gentlemen.
b. No, please! You are the first person I stole from today!
Adaon:
a. Yeah, we forgive you for stealing, but who ever said that we allow you to go? Tell me: Who are you working for now?
b. Yeah? How about the money you stole yesterday? Or days before yesterday? Didn't you save the money or you spend all of them right away? OR you actually give most of them to your boss. Tell me: Who are you working for now?
Robbers: Whom he is working with is not your business, outsider!
Adaon: Aah, lookie here, my friend. Now, we have more friend to ask some money for.
Robber A: It's... It's the nephew of Bagadar! Bagadar the Swift!
Robber B: Bagadar?! That Bagadar?! Oh, shoot!
Thief: Let's get out of here!
Adaon: Oh, no, you don't... (Adaon will run into the Freeport Slums, leaving you alone)
You: Adaon! Wait! He's gone... Ah, well, at least I got my gold back. But I better catch up with Adaon!
From distance, you'll see a mysterious man carefully watching a man that looks like a bandit leader from a far. Suddenly, you see right before your eyes that the mysterious man killed the bandit leader, though the death seems totally like an accident instead of an assassination, but you definitely know that the mysterious man was the killer. You see a stone from a building fell right above the bandit's head. The bandit leader's death has caused a scene to Freeport. Once you get close into the scene, you will see Adaon and say:
You: There you are, Adaon... Did you catch those robbers? Wait... You're not Adaon. Adaon has no beards.
Man: Yeah, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not Adaon. He must be my twin or some sorts if you thought I was him. *chuckle*
You: O-oh, looks like I got the wrong person. But, yes, you do look like my witty and sarcastic companion. Perhaps, you two do know each other?
Man: Haha, maybe yes, maybe no.
You: Not to sound rude, but you also look older than him. Silly me for thinking you were him. My apologies, sir.
Man: Yeah, silly you. I must be more handsome than him, too. Just look at this majestic beards.
You: Heh, now that I think of it, yes, you ARE more handsome than him. Anyway, I'm looking for my companion, if you'll excuse me.
Man: Sure. Good luck, young one. (Leave)
You: (AWA 4) That man sure has unique wearings, he must be a mercenary or something. (Leave)
Among the citizen who come into the scene, you see the thief and the robbers whom Adaon were catching. You will hear them saying:
Robber A: Oh, no! Our boss, Rois, has been killed!
Robber B: No, I don't think so. Yeah, the boss did have bounty on his head, but this is certainly an accident.
Thief: Yes, the boss has his bad luck sometimes. Who would have thought that his bad luck could kill him?
Robber A: Our band is lost... We have no leader, now....
The journal will say that you should go back to the inn. Once you get back to around the inn where you caught the thief, Adaon will be there.
Adaon: Ah, there you are. I lost that thief and those robbers? Man, I thought we could get more money by extorting them.
You: Who was your uncle, Adaon? Those guys cowered in fear just by seeing his nephew, not even the person himself.
Adaon: Bagadar the Swift, probably the most infamous thief in Freeport, or even in Varannar, as well as the most infamous leader among those thieves. He was known to be seriously strict, and never allowed even just one of his men to be robbers. This town hasn't really changed, but I thought I was gonna find those robbers and that thief, and maybe their boss, on that hideout in the Freeport slums.
You: That's because their boss is already dead. The guards, the citizen, and even the thief as well as those robbers thought it was an accident. But I saw someone killed that boss, I don't know how, but I know for sure that that mysterious person killed that boss.
Adaon: So that's why there was some crowds over there. Come on, let's get ourselves to the incident location.
In that location.
Adaon: Oh, so it was Rois. *sigh* Lazy guards as always. They took so long to clean up a dead body, long enough for me to see it. And poor Rois. He became the leader only to die days after. Shame, really, he was a powerful warrior who wished to join the Mercian Legion, but ended up becoming a bandit leader.
You: You know him? And what do you mean by days after?
Adaon: He was one of my uncle's henchmen after he couldn't become a Mercian soldier. He became a bandit leader right after my uncle and I left Freeport for New Garand. Couldn't say I like the guy, because I heard he was quite ruthless as a bandit. He robbed a man or some men? All robbers do that. But he robbed women and children, too. Strangely, he was well-respected and quite loved by those around him, enough to make him the leader among them.
You: Sounds like he was a good leader, but a terrible man.
Adaon: Oh, you have no idea how terrible, but at the same time humble. My uncle said he once killed a man with the man's own weapons RIGHT before the man's kid's eyes, and killed the kid with the same weapons not long after. From what I have seen myself before he joined us, he liked to toy with his weakened enemies. But that's before he joined my uncle. After joining, he changed, he was humble enough that some of our colleagues can order him around, even those who were younger than him. I once saw him pouring some drinks to some of our colleagues. He is both respected AND feared at the same time. But my uncle and I were not among those who feared him, obviously.
You: Wow, if he was that terrible, no wonder someone would put a bounty on his head. And no wonder that his men were quite shocked and confused about his death.
Adaon: Still, those people were right, Rois definitely died due to an accident. But, somehow, my hunch tells me otherwise. You said someone killed him, didn't you? Can you tell me what did he do?
You: That's the problem! I can barely see him did something, but the stone suddenly fell and hit the man's head.
Adaon: (after having a careful look at the stone) By the gods... You're right! My hunch was right! This is not an accident. Look at the rope tying this stone, the rope is still new and looks powerful enough to lift this stone, but it looks like someone cut it. This is an assassination! A professional one, I'll give you that. I mean, he couldn't have timed the rope being broken.
You: Look, there is a sapphire right beside Rois.
Adaon: That must be the bait. But... I never thought there would be an assassination in Freeport. In Freetown or New Garand, maybe, but in small town like Freeport? Damn assassins!
You: I wonder how those thief and robbers are now.
Adaon: Aah, I almost forgot about them. Let's go to their hideout. (Leave)
You and Adaon will go to the Freeport Slums, and in the Slums, you can go to the secret hideout. You and Adaon will be surprised that the mysterious man, whom you see previously, has just killed the thief. You also see the 2 robbers' and probably some other robbers that were Rois' men. But there is one more surprise: the mysterious man was, in fact, the man who looked like Adaon but older. You and, especially, Adaon will be even more surprised. The man also looks surprised, but then keeps himself cam and composed, and approaches you.
Mysterious Man: Hmpf, you were right, young one. The boy indeed looks like me. But I'm more handsome.
Adaon: Heh, what are you? My twin? Nah, I obviously look younger and more handsome than you.
You: Yeah, yeah, whatever you two say. More importantly, why did you kill these guys?
Adaon: And their leader while we're at it.
Mysterious Man: You know, I often talk to nobody about why I did this or that. Certainly, not to you both.
Adaon: You are the assassin, aren't you? The one who killed Rois. But to think you would also kill his men, is the snake's head not enough for you? Did you really feel the need to destroy its body as well?
Mysterious Man: Son, one thing for sure, I don't feel the need to talk to you about why I did this. Or, well, to talk to you both. Oh, Adaon, let me give you one advice: You can be anything you want, but just don't be a rogue. (He throws a smoke bomb and disappear)
You: (AWA 5) (Before he disappeared, you have a good look at his unique equipment)
Adaon: Huh, how did he...
You: ...know your name?
Adaon: Is he my father? But uncle told me I was an orphan!
You: Let's go ask your uncle. Maybe he knows something about this assassin. (Leave)
In Western Korne, once you talked with Bagadar.
Bagadar: Aah, I see you've come to your senses, boy. Come, and join me. But first, let me out of here!
You: Before that, I have one thing to ask you, sir. We met an old man who looks just like Adaon, but with beard, and more...
Adaon: No, I'm more handsome than him. Tell me, old man, is he... Is he my father? Tell me he is not my father.
Bagadar: ...
Adaon: Why are you being quiet? Are you hiding something?
You:
a. (PER 4) He IS hiding something. That man is Adaon's father, isn't he? (This would grant you more Exp after finishing the dialogue)
b. (INT 4) He looks exactly like him, talks like him, and shares a little bit similar personality as him. And you're telling me he is not Adaon's father? Or, what? Is he Adaon from the future? (This would grant you more Exp after finishing the dialogue)
c. He is an assassin. He killed Rois right in front of me, and killed the last of Rois' man right in front of us.
Bagadar:
a./b. ...yes. He indeed is your father, Adaon. His name is Herlion. He is an assassin that not a single person in this land knows of his identity, his killing method, and not even his looks. He used to kill only his target, and his target alone. He would leave all of those guarding his target alive. Every of his targets would be killed, and everyone around the targets would think the targets died either by accident, suicide, or getting killed in action. At least, that's how it was until his one and only partner, his own wife, my sister, your mother, Adaline, was killed by just one man who was the henchman of your father's target. This man saw your father killed his boss, got his life into rock-bottom thanks to his boss' death, and recruited his boss' other henchmen to track your father down. But instead of killing your father, they only found out about his partner, and killed her.

Adaon:
a./b. I... don't know what to feel. On one side, my heart... It somehow hurts. I'm truly sad that my mother died. But on another side? It's... really epic. I never knew such an awesome assassin would exist. Anyway, what happened next? Did my father kill that henchman?
c. That's... such an epic assassin! I never knew such an awesome assassin would exist. Anyway, what happened next? Did my father kill that Henchman?
Bagadar:
a./b. ....I'm truly sorry, boy. Your father had always asked me to keep this a secret, to never tell you anything about this. Anyway, yes, your father and I killed every single one of them. Well, actually, your father did all the kills, in cold blood. I was just there to set all the traps so your father could kill them easier. From that day, he kills not only the targets, but also every single one of their henchmen.

You:
a./b. So, you're telling me that Adaon was never truly an orphan, but he actually had a father, all along?
c. I see. Wait, did you just say...
Adaon:
c. ...my father? Herlion is my father? So... Adaline... was my mother? My heart... It somehow hurts...
Bagadar:
a./b. Well, yes, but... Actually, no. Yes, Herlion asked me to take care of Adaon who was just a little baby at the time. And no, he asked me to raise you as if you are my own son, and to keep you as far as possible from him. Far away from any dangers that could endanger you like they did your mother. He didn't want his son to grow up to become a rogue just like himself and his own wife. He even asked me to tell you that you were born an orphan. He still asked me from time to time about how you have become, though.

Adaon: No need to be sorry, uncle. I better take the hurtful truth rather than the comforting lies. It's better for me to know about my past rather than running away from it. So? What kind of a rogue was my mother? Was she an assassin, too?
Bagadar: No, she was a scout just like you are now. But she was also an informant, a handler, or a safe bait. One thing for sure, she helped every of the assassinations done by your father from the shadows. Let's just say she is the shadow of a shadow-lurking assassin. I was also one of his most trusted informants, and I was the one who matched him with my sister, your mother. Now that I'm here, I'm no longer one of his informants.
Adaon: Interesting. The shadow of a shadow. So my parents were badasses. Uncle, you said you were one of his informants. Is there any other of his informants that you know of?
Bagadar: Janod came to mind. He was also one of your father's clients. The last time I saw him, he was in Kingsbridge where I, well, left you.
Adaon: Did my father asked you to leave me there?
Bagadar: No, I... Well, let's say it was a thief's instinct.
Adaon: ...yeah, whatever, old man.
You: Hmm, Janod? Oh, no...
Adaon: Hmm? What? ...oh, so it's that old man. Haha... Ha...
Bagadar: Boy, you may not listen to me anymore, but please do listen to your father: just be a thief or just stop being a rogue.
Adaon: I have no reason to listen to him, at least not yet. Now, let's go to Icemist. (Leave) (The conversation will continue if you pass either the AWA 4 or the AWA 5 check upon meeting Herlion the first or second time respectively)
You: Before we leave, I have one more question, Mr. Bagadar. I have seen some assassins before, maybe in Blue Castle or somewhere else. But Herlion looks much different than those assassins. Does he belong to a certain affiliation?
Bagadar: I'm not certain if that group still exists, but you know the Corsair Princes? There used to be a mercenary group there, called the Mercenary of Shadows. The group consists of those who use brute strength, swift agility, powerful faith, or cunning intelligence. The base was there, but their members were everywhere in this land. They would receive their jobs from selective people via letters. Otherwise, they would take some quests from local towns.
You: Thanks for the info. We'll be going now. (Leave) (You learned something important. You'll receive ??? Exp)
In Icemist, in one house next to Greyrune Manor, enter the house, and Janod will be there with Iron Golems beside him.
Janod: Hmm? Aah, you are the one who retrieved the Orb of Shadow! And why are you still with this damn thief?!
Adaon: Good to see you, too, old man.
You: Mr. Janod, I'm here to ask you something about Herlion.
Janod: I don't know what you are talking about. I don't know who this Herlion is. (said Janod while pretending to be busy doing things)
You:
a. (PER 5) *sigh* You are a powerful mage who is probably good at many things, but lying is obviously something you are not good at. Please, do tell us, sir.
b. (INT 5) You know, I wonder how the wizards here would react if they know of your relationship with a certain assassin.
c. Oh, for God's sake... Tell me, or else!
Janod:
a. Ooh, alright, what do you want to know about Herlion?
b. Why, you... Fine, what do you want to know about Herlion?
c. Or what? Are you threatening me? Ha! Not in a million years, young ones! (Leave) (Janod and his Iron Golems will fight you, and after you defeat him...)
c. Please, have mercy! I'll talk! You are way stronger than I thought...
Adaon:
a./b./c. Do you know where he is? Have you hired him these days?
Janod:
I hired him to... to kill one of my students who went mad. Could this be... Could Herlion be your father, thief? You do remind me of him ever since we met in Kingsbridge. Almost everything about you reminds me of him. Your face, your gesture, your carefree attitude, your way of talking...
You: Except Herlion is more handsome than him.
Adaon: Oh, shut up! I'm more handsome than him!
Janod: Heh, he even tricked me the same way you did, except he returned what he stole from me after I sobered.
You: Which means you fell for the same trick, twice.
Janod: Yeah, poor old absent-minded me. I knew I felt somewhat nostalgic back then. I might have killed this rascal should you not be there.
Adaon: But here I am, still alive and kicking. Anyway, yes, I'm Adaon, and Herlion is my father.
Janod: Aah, of course. Well, your father is on an island just across Freeport. Please hurry up and save him! I insisted him to not go, it's way too dangerous. Druald, my former pupil who went insane, is a powerful summoner. Sure, Herlion is a shadow-lurking assassin, but his summons enable him to detect anything that could endanger him.
You: Then we must act, fast.
Janod: I can teleport you to Freeport via portal, and you can use some boats around there to go to that island.
You: Perfect. Alright, let's go. (Leave)
In the island, you will enter a ruin that no longer has any roof or some sorts, and looks like it used to be a fort. You will also have to fight a great number of summons like imp, demon, or elementals. Once you get deep inside the fort, you will see Herlion being completely surrounded by Druald's summons. After you get close to Herlion, he will say:
Herlion: You... You defeated all those elementals, demons, and golems, all the way into here? Talk about reckless.
Adaon: Says an old man who tried to sneak into a ruin full of summons that could detect any hidden things around them.
You: Save your sarcastic remarks for later. We have some summons to obliterate. (Leave)
Don't worry about Herlion, he is close to unkillable, though his damage sucks. Once you defeat all of the summons, Druald will appear out of thin air.
Herlion: Took you long enough to show yourself, dead man.
Adaon: Wait, what the...?!
Druald: Mwahahahaha! You fool! All those insignificant beings are nothing compared to what I have finally mastered to summon! Behold! I, Druald, will conquer the world with Qyrudiess, the Bringer of Death! You three will-
You: Ah, here we go again. So, Mr. Herlion, I like your equipment, there. Can I have a look?
Druald: You three-
Herlion: Sure, young one, come here, and have a good look at it.
Druald: You three will-
Adaon: Man! That dagger of yours sure looks so badass!
Druald: ARGH! You dare to test my patience! Qyrudiess! Teach them the meaning of fear!
(Qyrudiess, a huge black Dragon, is summoned)
Druald: MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! LET'S SEE THE FACES OF TERROR YOU THREE SHALL MAKE!
Herlion: *sigh* Why are you still here? You have a mighty dragon, your summon, here to fight for you.
Druald: Why, to see you all cowering in terror, of course.
Herlion: Yes, see your mistake? (Herlion throws a smoke bomb and disappear)
Druald: What? Where did he... Hah! The coward. He escaped. Now, Qyrudiess, tear them both to pie- (Herlion suddenly appears from behind and kills Druald by slitting his throat before Druald finished his sentence)
Herlion: You could have disappeared out of thin air with your invisibility spell, and let this dragon kill us for you. But you felt the need to deliver that unnecessary speech.
(Qyrudiess looks at you, Adaon, Herlion, and Druald's dead body, and then walks away, you can approach her again for a certain quest)
Adaon: Phew, I thought we gotta deal with that dragon, too. Kinda glad she just walked away.
You: That dragon doesn't seem to be hostile, at least not towards us. I wonder why.
Herlion: He just mastered how to summon a dragon, so the dragon was not willing to listen to him yet, which means I could kill him from behind without having to worry about the dragon. But yes, it's really rare to see a non-hostile dragon. Most importantly, why are you hare, Adaon? Why would you place yourself in the face of danger?
Adaon: Why would you care about me, old man?
Herlion: Well, I... I...
You: Adaon, he's-
Adaon: First, that old man Janod asked us to help you. Second, we came all the way here to ask you about what you said to me. Third, we are here because, well, we're adventurers.
Herlion: I see you have talked to Bagadar about me. Look, son. I don't need any help. I could have killed this fool, and all his summons would disappear. Plain and simple, yes? And what? About you being a rogue? Didn't Bagadar tell you? Adaline, your mother, she... (His voice is about to break, but he regains his composure) She was killed... Because of my actions. Because of us being rogues. And because I was too naive thinking that killing the target would have been enough. I don't want you to suffer the same fate.
You: No, you did need help. All those summons obey Druald's orders and can detect you. You were surrounded, and there was no way you could escape. You think you had a chance to go against all those numbers of summons all by yourself?
(If you are not a rogue)
What's the problem with being a rogue, anyway?
(If you are a rogue)
What's wrong with being a rogue, anyway? I'm a rogue myself, you know.
Herlion: Alright, fine, I thank you two for the help. A rogue's fate will bring only dangers and sorrow. You can be anything as long as it makes you happy, but please don't be a rogue, like myself and your mother.
Adaon: Yet you asked a thief to look after your son. You think a thief is no worse than a rogue? A thief is literally a part of a rogue. Look, even if I was a farmer or a mage under Janod... Okay, look, even if I was the kindest among the kindest bishops or clerics, there would be people in this world who hated me, who even wanted me dead. Admit it, you fear of losing me, yes, but you also fear of having to face your responsibility.
Herlion: (Slapped Adaon) ...I'm... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have... But... Why would you say I fear of my responsibility? I kept you away from danger, and gave all the money I had from assassinations to Bagadar to support him and you!
Adaon: Ask yourself. Why are you still an assassin, Herlion? You could have retired, and find a better way to make a living. No one...
Herlion: No. (The look of guilt is clearly visible on Herlion)
Adaon: ...could ever be able to find you. You could have...
Herlion: No! Stop!
Adaon: ...raised me yourself... (You could hear Adaon's voice breaking, but he regains his composure) And maybe I wouldn't become a rogue like you, like...
Herlion: ...son, please... Stop... (Herlion starts crying)
Adaon: ...my mother, like I am today. *sigh* But, father, I'm truly grateful to have been a rogue. Or, well, maybe I didn't choose the rogue life, the rogue life chose me.
Herlion: Why... (Herlion stops crying) Why would you still be a rogue?
Adaon: Well, why are YOU still being an assassin?
Herlion: Because that's the only life I have. And I don't want you to end up the same.
Adaon: Then all the more reason for me not to listen to you.
Herlion: Think, Adaon, what do you think you would achieve as a rogue? What do you think you would have in 10 or 20 years from now?
Adaon: I, Adaon, have a dream.
Herlion: ...what are you talking about?
Adaon: I will someday establish a guild, a thief guild, in Freeport without any single thief as its members. I, as the leader, will either convince them to stop becoming a thief and become something else like a Varsilian or Mercian knight, a Nivarian Paladin, an Imperial Wizard, a Thuramian scholar, a Royal Loreseeker, a Golden Hand trader, a farmer, everything, that isn't a thief, a robber, or a mugger, or open their eyes to make them realize that they can be more than just a petty thief, or robber, or mugger, they can make for a great spy, or an assassin like yourself, or an outstanding archer, or a trap master like my uncle. Maybe not today, as I'm still young and inexperienced. But I will!
Herlion: ...how? Is this a work of fate? How could you have exactly the same dream as your mother? That's... That was exactly why she helped me doing every assassinations. She made every assassination easier so I could get more money, and I save all those money so creating such guild would be easy.
Adaon: Wow, now that's a plot twist. Well, maybe I really am the son of you two.
Herlion: Of course, you are. You look like me, you talk like me, you think like your mother.
Adaon: But I'm more handsome than you.
Herlion: No, I am. I have these marvelous beards. You don't.
Adaon: I'm more handsome even without a beard. Imagine how handsome I would be with those marvelous beards.
You: Um, guys? Should we return to Janod? He already created a portal right after the dragon walked away.
Herlion: Then this is where we part ways. Come here, son.
Adaon: What, old ma- (Herlion hugs Adaon, and Adaon hugs back) Here I thought you would give, you know, some allowances for your son.
Herlion: Oh, ask Janod for that. He doesn't look like it, but his pocket is quite full.
Adaon: Alrighty then. See you again, father. (Leave)
You: (Only available if you asked Bagadar about the Mercenary of Shadows) Mr. Herlion, before we part ways, may I ask you something? The Mercenary of Shadows, you are a member of it, aren't you? Does it still exist?
Herlion: ...it's been too long I don't hear about the Mercenary of Shadows. Janod and I were members of it. I didn't hear from them anymore even before I married Adaline. It's safe to say the Mercenary of Shadows is no more.
You: I see, thanks. (Leave)
In Janod's laboratory.
Janod: I heard about your grand dream, Herlion's son. Such a noble dream. You know, if I live long enough to see you fulfilling your dream, tell me, and I'll gladly help you with anyway I can.
Adaon: Thanks... Mr. Janod. Anyway, do we have the reward, now?
Janod: What reward? For killing Druald? Heh, boy, your father killed him, not you. The reward is his, not yours.
Adaon: Ah, come on, old man!
You:
a. (PER 5) You know, maybe he asked the money so he could fulfill his dream much sooner.
b. (INT 5) Well, you did ask us to help him, and we did. He himself admitted he wouldn't make it if we weren't there.
c. (Continue)
Janod:
a./b. Well, right. Very well, here's your reward. (25.000 Gold) Now if you'll excuse me, I still have some research to do. (Leave)
c. Now if you'll excuse me, I still have some research to do. (Leave)
You: (Only available if you asked Bagadar about the Mercenary of Shadows) Mr. Janod, before we leave, may I ask you something? The Mercenary of Shadows, you and Herlion are members of it, aren't you? Does it still exist?
Janod: Did you hear about this Mercenary from Bagadar? Or Herlion? No, it has been no more for years. But there were still members of them roaming the lands, including myself. Some of them have special equipments exclusive only to the Mercenary of Shadows, like the Orb you obtained for me. You may still be able to find some others somewhere. The equipments of Shadows are old, and look cursed, but truly powerful.
You: I see, thank you, sir. (Leave) (You learned something important. ??? Exp)
After getting out of Janod's house, Adaon will say:
Adaon: Well, you can laugh all you want about my dream, my friend, I don't mind it, really. But that really is my dream.
You:
a. Laugh at your dream?! At least YOU have a dream, an excellent one at that, while I don't even have any dream. You know, I'm even damn proud of you. Who would have thought you, a thief who used to muggle me, have such a wonderful dream?
b. No dream is worth laughing. In fact, you have a noble dream. I have a dream myself, but I'm not sure it's as good as yours. You know, I'm truly proud of you. Who would have thought you, a thief who used to muggle me, have such a wonderful dream?
Adaon: Thank you. You know, we have traveled for a long time. I think it's long enough for me to ask you this: If you are to have a dream, what's your dream?
You:
a. What if I say: I rather keep it to myself? You know, just like how we first met.
b. I just want to live my peacefully, that's all. But I ended up becoming adventurer.
Adaon:
a. I take it you don't have any dream. Very well, have it your way, then.
b. That's a rather simple dream, and I actually like it. But you becoming adventurer might have been either good or bad for you, eh?
You:
a. Correct. Now, let's be on our way. (Leave)
b. Maybe yes, maybe no. But I'm grateful to have met you. Now, let's continue our journey. (Leave)
