Is possible.

Started a new casual rogue (my 6th char) build is trap spotter, and melee, so ago based, but all early point spent on getting transporting up.

Gris as a companion.

Now given I am a tester, and know the game quiet well, I still think it's an achievement.

Got the lion cuirass on.

On next update, the final fight will be much, much harder and the NPC will die fast unless you can handle it.

I believe it's currently only possible in casual mode. Because the hp regeneration and saving in dungeons is why I was able to afford the kit to do it.

I don't think someone who hasn't as much time invested in the game as the testers have would be likely to manage it.

I thought it over alot before I posted, because of the backlash on a certain bow. But came down this way because the spirit of the game is important !

I did it on a cleric at lvl 6, with a dagger and arbeno's might, with adaon - I just let the npc tank the manticore. this was on hard.

+1 to David's proposed change. It was a concern from first testing, but again our knowledge and developed characters (even at low levels we know the gear to snag early) makes it somewhat skewed feedback.

Reputation seems to be the best way to ensure proper deterrent as getting up to 30 rep requires a multitude of quests or THQs to be done, causing natural leveling prior to the quest.
