I think I've messed up

So, I can't find my Imperial Copper Coin anywhere.. I thought I had it in my vault for later use.
I'm a level 15 warrior, and I want to test a build with the Flurry skill..
Am I screwed, or is there another way of getting into the thieves guild?

Successfully "loosing" the coin would be a serious bug, because as a quest item it cannot be sold or dropped.

Are you sure you really got it with this character? If so, did you also check the chests in your house(s) and Tremadan's tower?

You know what... I totally forgot about the chest in Tremadan's tower..
