I reached at lvl 70

At lvl 70~80 for hard mode mage, there're some advantages
1. Steel wizards are killed by one combo, auto + lightning bolt
2. 4 stats are 10 (mastered?, in my case int, end, agi, and awa)
3. Lightning bolt dmg is about 200 (with no resistance)
4. Disintegrate dmg is about 300 (with auto, more than this)

A Level 70 mage in the arc is like a bug zapper for mosquitoes.

It's worth noting, the game's content is designed to be complete at around Level 20 or so. Thus, super builds really are over kill. So content wise, expect the game's challenge to drop off around Level 25. As for the fun factor, see the fist line of this post.
