I kept the ring and can't have Grissenda as companion

Hi, I am really enjoying this game.
I just realized that Grissenda was supposed to be a companion and that as I kept the ring in the quest I cannot use her.
This is really unfortunate as I have played a lot more and cannot anymore revert back to a previous state.
Is there any way to fix this? Any hack?
It's really sad...

Nope there is no way, you'll have to start a new character. Sorry for you. Gris is not really needed, you can finish the game without her and next time you'll know it better
