The initial release of the next game, --might-- come Summer 2021, which is a few months away.
There's been some cross communication about which update is happening when as both are pretty hot topics right now.
When there's a semi-solid target date, the Developer will likely announce it. One of the many challenges with independent game developers is that the limited staff means things like deadlines are rather problematic.
