How to recover wizard guild rep

Does anyone know to increase rep from the negatives with the wiz guild. I messed up early game and laughed at the wizard looking for his black orb. He attacked but I escaped and later found the orb but he's gone. Now I can't enter the northern cities without being attacked for having a -29 rep with them. Is there a quest that will increase rep without the npc's throwing hands with me

If I remember correctly, the Conjurer by the gates to Icemist will give you one last option to make things right.
