I have been wanting to make a comic inspired by exiled kingdoms. However, I am scared of copy rights in case the comic catches attention.

Therefore I would like to contact them to avoid issues in the future đź’›

If this post doesn't give me answers then I will just contact them via support forum, but hopefully this will work!

Yeah, technically, you're in contact with dev by writing here. Not sure if he will answer you, he's really busy right now finishing update for his new game.

Clearly state it's a copy right matter in the subject

Note, copy rights vary between countries so it can get complicated, but generally speaking, a for free hobby comic "inspired" by a game is exempt from copy right claims. But again, laws vary.

Hi there! I wish you the best for your project. Never give up!

If you don't make any money off it, or if you make a little money from ads, that's perfectly fine from my end. Just please mention the game as inspiration and link to it. If you become the next Frazetta or Akira Toriyama, then we can discuss the terms either on your yatch or on mine.
