I started a new character, I did restoring the faith quest, I then added Hirge as my companion she was lvl 6 ( 1,000 points from lvl 7 ). She came with no trait points to spend and only one skill point to spend. I got her leveled to 7 she again received no trait point/points . I rested then checked her character sheet same thing, I logged then re logged into the game same result no changes, I rebooted my system went back into game; still no trait points. I then went back to where I saved just before I asked her to join me, her cs was the same as before, I got her to lvl 7, and same results she got a skill point to spend but no trait points to spend, I have done everything i can think of from getting her killed to kicking her from the party then rejoing her, What is going on with Hirge, is this a bug or will she no longer get trait points?

Normally it's good to post screenshots, but in this case it's not needed.
Hirge has some traits pre-assigned (and also bnus trait points compared to other companions). Until she reaches certain level, as her points have been preassigned she doesn't get to spend more points. I think at level 8 everything will be normal, but I am checking if everything is alright
I'll probably remove some pre-assigned points in next update to avoid this confusion.
