Hirelings die too quickly

It'd be nice if you could take two companions with you, other than the weak hirelings. On an other note, have your companions join guilds. Also other cool feature would be to build your own stronghold. After all there are a lot of empty space on some maps. But as of now just being able to take both Aaron & Hirge on on adventures would be great.

I disagree. One named follower is enough and more would be too OP.

I do agree that the weak hirelings should be a tad stronger though. They need a few more HP.

I want to hire an Elite Archer or Enraged Minotaur lol.

Btw...during the main quest I did kill the Enraged Minotaur...He was a nice challenge.

I say yes on having a 3rd human companion being too OP but what about a dog companion. You can use the wolf sprite. It has the same stats as a wolf but they have no armor or weapon nor skills. They can however gain passive elemental dmg if they kill a certain amount of imps/firedancer/iciclones/whitewolf/spiders/ghost.(should be an easter egg skill)

The Wolf companion idea is cool. I like that. Maybe you could obtain it with a quest, and If it does you can always buy a replacement.

Having multiple followers makes it more like D & D, less like a cheesy coin op. Also being able to make use of campsites to rest would be freaking awesome.

On the other hand, David also needs to think about multiplayer, how to make this balanced.

Single player game shouldn't be too easy. And also, people like me, who use companions only for certain quests and not all the time should be able to play the game.

Having whole bunch of companions wouldn't work for EK. But, for next project David mentioned, there would be many of companions, Baldur's Gate style (info from David).

It would be nice if you could at least give them a potion to heal them. I find myself often having to decide if I should use my "Recovery" often when I have full health but they are badly damaged (or just let them die).

Two ways to access companion's 'inventory' so you can use potions for them:
Click on their portrait in the upper left of the game screen or while in your inventory, click on their portrait in the lower right.

Once the companion is the shown toon, any potion used will effect them instead of you. They also have a different potion cool down, so you can heal them and yourself if needed.

And to be clear, that only works with actual Companions, not hirelings. Although a Cleric's Heal will affect hirelings... Based on my observations, self, companion, hirelings in that order for healing.

How about horses ?
it would be nice to see roaming mounted undead at night ,especially during October !
Horses could also be a way of traveling faster or they could be way to store extra loot in their saddle bags.
Mounted combat could be pretty sweet also and who know even jousting events in the arena ?
