First of all love the game. I am am old school gamer since the early 80s, so the feel of immersion into this game world as well as the old school RPG feel combined with some light Ad&d mechanics are outstanding!!

I have a rogue I'm playing currently level 4 bought the full version without hesitation. My question is:

I've been saving my trait and skill points since lvl 1 I am currently on bug quest. I got the old tome so I have 4 attribute points and 6 skill point to spend. Right now I have agi 3, aware 1 and all the rest 0. Should I bump agi up to 4 and use all the points? or my other though was keep agi at 3, put 1 to end, and build aware to 2. And the save the extra point.

Also for skills I was thinking put stab to 2, archery to 2, and 1 point in flank attack.

My goal is a pure DPS rogue who is deadly from both a far and close up. Any advice ok skills/traits?

TLDR;am lvl 4 have not used any traits or skills since starting the game. Have 4 trait points and 6 skills points as a rogue, DPS is my goal how should I allocate?

Starting build was agi:3, aware:1

Many thanks!

Must have been real hard to not spend any points as a rogue in the early levels ;)

Most people specialize in one of the two options. My opinion is, even if you want to end up with a dual melee/ranged build, which is fine, start choosing one and sticking to it for the early levels, then work on the other.

Thank you, and awesome job on the game! Really I mean itI I tried many many games and this one captured me like no other. I will admit I'm playing on casual for now:)

So what I did for skills was put stab to 2, archery to 2, and sneak attack to 1. This gives me a good combination of close/melee range. For weaps I have the Ven Sacrificial dagger and Hunters Longbow which are definitely suffice for now. I do good DPS at both melee and ranged.

What do you think?

Given skillpoints are such a rarity, might be difficult to achieve this balance. I've taken a ranged rogue to level 12 and have only started investing in melee. Good luck with your build!

I have a dual melee/archer build.

The trick is to build if using agility, using light weapons and shield for melee and I maximised my archery side first, then have built my melee up, be sure to take at least some invisible, as that works for both.

For companion use Gris, I have her statted as a 2 handed cleaving fury warrior, and that alongside the ranged rogue works well.

Also increasing your agility helps with traps !
