I think the variety of herbs is not so rich so what about try to write down some ideas about names of herbs, where should be placed and so on.

1) tree stumps
Tree fungus (everywhere stumps are)
Sagar moss (Sagar forrest)

2) trees
Fögas mistletoe (Fögas forrest)
Plums, Apples, Pears, Oranges

3) bush
Swampberries

4) on the grass
Nilomar nettle (Nilomar cape)

Some of them could be consumable, but they add only 5+ hp or mana.

In the cities could be merchant, who offers these things. Maybe bag for herbalism is good idea too, cost 2000 g, take two slots and can hold 10 herbs of each kind (maybe there could be more types for different prices and different capacity).

Yes, I implemented the herbs system with the idea to use it more, and I like the varieties you propose. I might use those. However I want to plan it properly when I implement potion-brewing, definitely after the main quest is completable.

Yes after you complete the alchemy quests in lannegar he tells you you can bring him fungi and deadweed to make shield potions.
