I can't seem to get the option to give him the gift, what do I do? Also the gift is white wolf skin right?

I have a Prefect Wolf Pelt, and I am not getting the option to give it to him. It's strange, because the first time I played the game I don't remember having any problem getting and completing the request. Now the quest doesn't even appear in my journal.

Giving damaged wolf pelt Ruun isn't a quest.
Maybe, he doesn't take better pelts because guards will appropriate them.

It's not a real "quest" it's a side conversation piece for extra Rep, a bit like how you can get extra Rep with Praetor Silena one time by doing a dodgy salute, but its not in your quest log.

Just give him a Damaged Wolf Pelt be it from a wolf or a coyote.
