help me out here

Im completely new to this game, i have never laid my eyes on a single tips and tricks but today i decide i want yall opinions on how to get good/progress good, im playing warrior class with grissedra as my companion, im level10, shes level 8, where do i grind and get very good gear? Also im stuck on the where to find amarisa quest, it says i need to find some eye of the tol, would really appreciate your help.

Welcome to the forum! We're are here to help (except for the troll, but he keeps to himself these days).

Best Advice for a first play-through: Enjoy exploring, and work the quests. You'll get better gear as you plug away.

Things to check off:
1) Have you completed the Fort Assault quest? Talk to the warriors outside of Kingsbridge. Once you complete the Fort Assault quest, you can join the Warriors Guild in New Garand.

2) Have you found Hirge yet? Explore the desert outside New Garand. You'll find some people needing help with an undead problem. Jump through a few hoops and Hirge can join your party. She has a healing ability that might help your Warrior.

3) Have your family tower? There are a few places in the game where you can learn the location. Once you learn the location, you can access it to help trigger the stage of quests.

Things not to worry about too much:
1) You won't find Amarisa until the end of the game. You'll find some hints about her location in a few places, but her quest is a long one.
2) Grinding for gear. You tend to find gear as you need it through the early game. Dungeons tend to have decent stuff, esp the orc dungeon near Kingsbridge. That should help you until you earn slightly better gear as your plug along.

It's a big world. Don't try to explore it all at once. But at the same time, feel encourage to explore. There are some nifty things just off the beating path.

Main Quest
Archmage Tremadan, your deceased grandfather, has sent you an inheritance letter. Did you also find the key? It is the key to Tremadan's Tower. (If no, go back and search Magister Steinz's House with your letter.) If yes, then now all you need is to find Tremadan's Tower! Librairies are good places to look for information like this. Once you find the tower, you'll know more about the quest to find Amarissa.

Treasure Hunting
A good way to find good items is to hunt rare and powerful monsters. And the best way to find those monsters is to ask around at taverns and inns! Buy some drinks, and ask if there are rumors about rare monsters. (They are called "rumor bosses", and they can drop very rare items if you're lucky!)

Grinding
Just North of the town of Jabal, in the North Jabal Hills, there is an entry to the Maze of Lamth, a maze full of minotaurs. It's an excellent place for grinding at your level. Lots of XP and gold there. Plus, some minotaurs are super nice!
