So, can anyone point me to where we are supposed to find the guy who never came out of the cave? In North saga forest I went through the cave where the orcs and imps are but I'm not seeing Anything. Oh and also this wizards ring that was stolen by his apprentice?

"guy who never came out of the cave". Please be a bit more specific. Name of the quest? what does your journal say?
