What are the necessary requirements/stipulations in order for a cleric character to be able to heal their companions? I've tried afew different approaches, but they are all inconsistent. Help, please? This is driving me nuts!

The only way to heal a companion is to over-heal yourserlf. Any extra HP healed over your HP maximum goes to your companion. If both your hp and your companion are at full hp and you have any other minions, extra health goes to them. I.e. if you are escorting someone or i would assume summoned creatures. If you want to heal your companion directly, click their portrait on the left hand side of the screen and use a potion. There is no way to target your companion for healing first.

He is right. Only overheal goes to your companion.

So I made my heal lv 3 and try hard not to take damage , but giving all agro to my companion. Then I can heal them.
