Hand Weapons?

What exactly are hand weapons? Is that just hand-to-hand or are there gloves or knuckles that aren't released yet?
Just wondering cause my guy seems like he's pretty good with hand weapons but I have no idea what they are.

at moment we have bows swords maces daggers hammers and two handed sword also we have too short swords

Hand weapons are 1 hand regular weapons: longswords, maces, etc

Hand weapons are all that allow you to equip a shield and do not have the trait "light" in its descrption
