Grinding is a four letter word

So I am now at a point in the game where levels are a little farther inbetween and i have all of the town hall quests done. The only battle left to win is the red Dragon. In the meantime im hitting all of the places i spent a lot of time running away fom monsters to find more secrets. I can walk through minotaurs maze no worries, trolls a little of a challenge but pay out isnt as good. And i am finding new equipment still, so its not a waste of time to even walk alone the orc cave for a little fun. What i was wondering is where the best exp to gold ratio is the best if anyone has figured it out. Ive been mixing it up some with bandits and trolls but wondering if anyone else has found a better place??

The place I've been grinding is north of Freetown in Nekhar Valley. Been running to the cluster of Legion Deserters and the Decurion deserter. They sometimes drop good loot. The Decurion especially, as well as the chest there. I'm only 1 piece shy of full Legion armor for my merc and me. You can sell the items or horde the gems they drop like I've been lol. Get about 1k exp a run and it takes me with my Lv 12 Warrior 1-2 recovers and like 5 mins to get there and back to sleep at inn. Rinse and repeat. It's quick and efficent.

I grind the minotaurs when I need fast gold - those bluesteel axes are over 400gp apiece to sell, and on a good run you'll get at least five, plus that beast slaying sword, which is over 500gp, maybe a few emeralds at 300gp apiece.

I grind iron valley and then go to the zamhor mts(?not good a spelling sorry about that lol) .... First you clear the iron valley then go to Z.M hit the bandit camp to the north (2 arch & 2warriors).... Then go south kill the patrol (2 arch & 1 warrior)... Continue south kill the two wovles.... Hit that bandit camp (2 arch & 2 warrior) ... Go back to the main path and go left kill the second / thrid patrol these sometimes mix together its hard to tell sometimes lol but this includes (5 arch & 2 warrior)... Then head south kill the 2 warriors and hit that bandit camp (3 arch & 3 warrior)..... This run depends greatly you get almost 2k exp and between 2.5k - 4k gold ... Sadly it depends on the drops .... I got 4k one run and barely 2k the next time ... Hope this helps

For gold I still like the minotaur dungeon for the bluesteel greataxes. They drop more reliably than the troll skins and bonegrinder hammers. Have yet to try the valley north of freetown, but it looks tempting from what you guys put here.

I had about 100k gold in 1 hour or so doing my path

Depending on Lvl i choose following grind places: Orc Lair --> Minotaur Cave --> Irazur Tomb --> Trollfens --> Gurgurths Cave

The new Castle Bluerock is not included, because i think it's not really worth for grinding in the long term, since you usually loose 2 recoveries from the way to the castle to the point behind the reception coomittee. You should try to spend no gold for potions.

Irazur Tomb usually gives slightly more gold and around 900 xp more than the Minotaur Cave. But you should try to clear the Trollfens (~2400xp per run) asap, and then go for Gurgurths Cave. Xp is far more important and the gold will come automatically.

Once you can do most of it, castle bluerock is the best area to grind. I leave the throne room and room full of deserters alone and still get 6k xp and 7-10k gp a run.
