Grey Library help

You can get into the Grey Library without fighting by giving the Golden Hand the books the group wants, the same books the Royal Loreseekers are after.

Caution: Each book you give to the Golden Hand raises your rep with the Golden Hand but lowers it a little bit with the Royal Loreseekers. My suggestion is keep the books in your vault until you knock out a few quests for the Loreseekers that way you have some reputation room to wiggle, so to speak.

A lot of players, if not most, simply take the route of fighting to get inside the Library. It seems the profits from the Golden Hand's alliance is not enough to buy the loyalty of many players.
Pro-tip, if you had put off the pendant quest, you could have gotten inside the library buy giving one book to the Golden Hand. Once clearing the library, you could have completed the pendant quest by giving the pendant to Fritha without too much concern about the Golden Hand. After-all, once you clear the library, there's not too much reason to be on good terms with the group (yet, there could be a surprise down the road).
