Why does increasing your compions gossip skill not effect your gossip level

Gossip level is more like knowing what to listen for rather than people coming up to you and flat out saying "Hey, here is a rumor you might be interested in". So a companion with a higher gossip level than you would better know what to listen for. That being said, the highest gossip level out of both of you gets used. So having a low gossip level yourself wouldn't hurt you if a companion has a high gossip percentage.

Keep in mind that the inn can be different effects in all towns... what i mean with that is that some inn is taking your gossip level and other inn's taking only your companions gossip level so keep in mind where you going to gossip.
So this means that wen you have more then 50% gossip and your not getting anything your probably wasted it all on you companions lvl not yours.
Its a rare appearence and very random so becarefull wen you see one.
You see the picture with my name but then youll see your companions name..... ( Alpha Omega is then grissenda or adaon or hirge with his or her gossip level % )
