"gossip bonus" corresponds with reputation

For every 2 minus or 2 positive reputation, my gossip bonus will be affected by 1% in that particular town.

For example I have: 50% gossip bonus

So if I have -50 rep in lannegar, my chance of learning rumors in lannegar would be 25%.

Conversely, if my rep in lannegar is 50, my chance would be 75%.

If I have 0 reputation in lannegar on the other hand, then my gossip chance would still be 50%.

I liked hearing about some of your deeds in Taverns. It could do with expanding, but it definitely provides "flavour".

The game could keep the rumor aspect, but toss the gossip mechanic.
Go into inn, buy drinks for people, get updated on all the rumors.
