Hi all, LOVE LOVE LOVE the game, been playing for a couple months casually, getting some more fun time over the holidays.

What's the best way to get money? I keep a nired sword with me and am pretty good about keeping them alive, and have farmed some minotaurs as their weapons sell pretty decent.

Emeralds would be nice to farm, is there a place where they drop regularly?

I'd like a house in New Garand. I'm hero level faction, but the house is 25k, and the most I seem to be able to get is about 10k before having to buy potions and upgrqde gear. And I still don't have any Legionary armor yet. I currently play a warrior but am going to try other classes this week.

Opinions vary, and it depends on your level. Lots of people swear by Nilomar Cape, which is a reasonable place if you can handle the Ursans. If you're running through the maze, they shouldn't be much of a problem. Only problem I have there, is that the good drops are pretty rare.
However, if you're high enough level - I think around 11 - and if you have suitable gear, I would suggest picking up Hirge and hitting the Mercian Royal Crypt. The trap in the beginning is headache, but if you can raise your death resistance to 90%+, you should be able to survive it. There is a high chance for high selling gear there, and a reasonable chance for legion gear.
For emeralds try Blue Rock or Nekhar Valley. Those guys occasionally drop. If you're high enough level - go hunt Wyverns.

Extra tip for the crypt - regarding the initial trap, if you go slowly and at the right angle, you can trigger the trap but pull some of them off the group without having to tank all 5 enemies.

Reading you have not house in NG, I assume that your character is low leveled and thus my ways (but my cleric Vaaclav Saazavskyy is on lvl 20) would be deadly for you.

You may go to Sagar forests and also to the north of New Anthur where Wyvern whelps live and kill them. Wyvern whelps are good source of emeralds.

And of course, go to Maze of Lamth. There you may collect great money. Simply go there, kill minotaurs - and after you reach current end, return to town, sell all, rest 12 hours - and repeat. And then again ...

Try Minotaur Maze located near Jabal.

Dropped Items like Bluesteel greataxe, forest sets, emeralds are good to sell.

I got tons of emeralds grinding through Askatir mines in steel coast. The carrion eaters and devourers can be tough for lower levels. Spirit resist or bloodied scarf are both very helpful here. If your level isn't high enough for the mines,I recommend the north Jabal hills/ maze of Lamth. Spiders of all sizes drop emeralds and you can get them from the minotaurs also.

My personal favorite is the mausoleum in Deadwoods.
you will find high priced Items in chests like blessed gear and scutum shields beside the normal 300ish gold stuff Items that drops
Also other useful Items, like Manapotions and 10% Wisdomscrolls are up for grabs.

my second best spot is the wyvern mountains.
Alot of white pelts from the wolves and small/big emeralds from wyverns, and 2 triggerspots for possible rumourbosses

Hi, items like bonegrinder dropped by Trolls are very good (900) to sell, but they can't stack up and you won't be able to carry a lot of them. To me the 2 best ways to collect money are wolf pelt that I sell to varannari hunters (150 white wolf, 100 perfect and 20 damaged) which stack up so you can go hunting a lot of them across. several areas while travelling for quests and emeralds to sell in Jabal (300 small, 500 big).
Both resources are abundant in the north area were you can find plenty of wolves and wyvern whelps. Then walk all the roads both the main and the half covered in grass Imperial. You'll randomly meet the Hunters. Bear skin at 50 is good but not worth the fight. When planning where to collect money, always go to the kind of enemy that you can kill a lot of while only using the hp daily recharge. It would be a pity to consume potions to get some pelts (4 white pelts to buy only one greater healing). Ah and remember: Prices in Freetown are higher, but also they pay more for the items you sell

Also if you haven't already make sure you spent skill points towards the extra party heal. This saves time (can explore for longer before returning to town) and potions. I put off upgrading this for ages and wish I hadn't.
