I just had a really fun Yaksa fight, and I thought I should share it.

To set the scene, this battle took place with my full minotaur party, bringing Girdean and Marietta as companions.

I was cleaning up the forest on the other side of the river when I stumbled on a large pack of Yaksa.
Even though I wasn't planning on fighting them yet, I also never shy away from a challenge, so I immediately drew my weapons and charged into the fray against the deadly Fey threat.

At first the scouts arrived in battle, and Brax, my stalward minotaur bodyguard immediately stepped up to hold back the tide.
The group was starting to pick off the scouts, when the true threat arrived to the battle.

The Harrit stepped into range, and I knew that if I didn't act immediately, that this whole fight would turn against me.
Because Brax was holding back the 5 remaining scouts alone, with my initiate and witch healing him.
And I knew that if her spell hit him, then the floodgate would be opened and the Yaksa scouts would shred the rest of my team with their deadly attacks.

The fully attention of my team (besides Brax) turned to this new foe.
Marietta started off by blasting the Harrit with a deadly fire arrow, which dealt a lot of damage, but isn't enough to kill them on Cruel.
Girdean wasn't in range, so instead he fired some arrows at one of the scouts, killing him and freeing my barbarian.
This allowed her to charge at the Harrit, but at no avail.
With her barrier of force, she was able to dodge the attacks and escape death, although she lost her barrier in the process.

It all came down to my witch Kaela, who was the last character with a turn before the Harrit could cast her devasting spell.
Kaela cast her Escape spell, using it to close the distance between her and the Fey witch.
Everything depended on this final attack, if she hit it then the remaining forest spirits would be easy enough to pick off.
But if she would miss this attack, then Brax would be lost and the team would get overrun.

She held up her Ancient Varsilian Claymore and let it come down with a swing, killing the Harrit.

After that the rest of the scouts were easy to pick off with Brax still stalwartly holding the line.
But it was quite intense to have so much of the battle hang into the line of a single attack.
