Flanking with Arrows

It doesnt make sense that I don't get flanking bonus damage with a bow when im attacking them from the behind but I can with daggers

I think it should count as a sneak attack, too
An arrow in the back by suprise feels just as bad as a dagger...

Then again, the dagger could precisely hit critical organs, like the liver, spine, etc.

Now I am up in the air about it. Interesting point.

And...what exactly does the flanking bonus provide?

Bow attacks used to gain the flanking bonus, this was removed as it proved to be too powerfull. Think of it as an effort reward thing - theres no effort in firing an arrow and getting bonusdmg when it hits from behind, but it takes up some serious extra effort to make a surprise attack in melee happen.

True but that was before you nerfed the sneak skill. I wonder how it would test out now

Game balancing aside there are reasons sniping has been popular for servicing targets for thousands of years.

Surprise... high probably of one shot one kill with good training and conditions... even the mightiest of heroes have been felled but with a single dart.. often poisoned... but hey...

Maybe David just doesn't like archers in general.
Maybe make a new Advanced Skill called Snipe but it acts like a weaker version of Sneak Attack
