Findng Black Shards

Was I supposed to find a balck shard frm the loot of a Rumor Minotaur Warlord?

According to the wiki minatour rumour bosses should drop a black shard. It doesn't say if it's a 100% drop or not though.

Rumor bosses have a CHANCE to drop a black shard. Not 100%. Dragon and lich have a higher chance, I think, due to their difficulty.

With recent updates, there's more fixed black shard drops but at one time, the only way to get the required the black shards was to hunt down quite a few rumor bosses.

Hmmm,nah I get the black shard from Minotaur warlords(and heck that zombie dragon tougher than I thought)

With the newest content, there are more than enough fixed black shards that rumor boss hunting is not required as one can simple get all of them from fixed drops. But, some like the Zombie Dragon are a lot tougher than rumor bosses.
