Extra Recovery

I think it needs work. 8 skill points for 2 more rests is too much. I would love to have it but I can't justify giving up 8 points or even 3 points for 1 extra rest. I might even suggest getting rid of Extra Recovery. 2 rests are just enough to make things hard.

By spending 3 or 8 points to add a recovery or 2, you add to your longevity but reduce your efficiency, so its an even trade off. Having 4 recoveries would actually allow me to run all day (inventory space would be my main limitation) which makes the game a little easier. Having an additional 8 points to max adv skills would give me the ability to hack thru things quicker, taking less damage overall, thus needing fewer recoveries.

Seems balanced to me. Especially if you consider a cleric, who's adv skills are currently lacking, and a extra recoveries become the most viable use of skill points, as they get twice the bang as other classes (full mana as well as health).

I'm pretty sure it was changed to 3+3 from the 3+5 that it used to be. That being said, as a warrior I can't either justify the skill points. I'd rather chug some potions, since you cannot rest mid fight and points elsewhere increase my maximum efficiency.

Though I'm not sure whether the skill needs any further discounts. Maybe could try 2+3 cost.

I should have also mentioned that when I play, I refrain from using potions as much as possible. Unless I am getting rolled by a boss, I try not to use any potions while clearing a dungeon. Adds a slight edge to the game on normal wo having to deal with the hardships of hardcore.

As a side note, if you ever want a fun challenge, put a self imposed no buying potions of any kind rule on a playthru. The game 'gives' you enough to where you will always have a few around for tight spots.

I spent the points on the extra recovery for my warrior, I felt like it was worthwhile so I dont have to spend gold on potions.

I think that at low levels an extra recovery may help a bit as it will make your runs longer so you gather xp quicker. When you grow it is worthless.
Seeing your discussion I just realized that I had one point spent on it ...

I like rebuilding my skills and maxing out on Recovery when I'm exploring in testing when it's only 1gp to do so, otherwise there's much better things to do with the skill points, and towns are pretty common, so lots of inns to sleep in, plus recall scrolls aren't expensive.

Extra recovery can be very useful depending on your build.

Cleric's (and definitely Mages when they come along) can really benefit, back to full health and full mana, think of all the money saving you are doing !

Rogues - low hit points means you use alot of potions, extra recovery saves you money and means you can always go in against the boss on full hp.

this is my first time posting and I really love the game, It is also my first time paying for a game (in mobile) lol. Anyway, my concern is I got ER lvld to 1 though it doesn't seem to add 1 every game day. I have 3 Extra Recovery right now which I haven't used since day 1. I'm guessing the max is 3 Extra Recovery? So I need to use it for it to replenish? Thank you.

You have full recoveries to use whenever you want (or, more accurately, whenever you need it to stay alive).

But, they don't add. When you use it, it's spent. You need to sleep for 12 hours to have all of them back (all health and/or mana, as well as recoveries). If you sleep for 6 hours, you get half of all of them.
