Hi all,
accordingly to a brief chat with the game maker, I would like to propose an Excel table containing all the equipment that has been made so far, ordered in comparative tables.
Before you ask: is this another proposal about game balance?
The answer is: yes, but only in part. Mostly it is a tool that allows to quickly compare items of the same or similar kind to better manage redundancies while preserving the richness in variety of this game.
Although it contains what I personally would like to be seen in the game, please keep in mind that I don't want to impose anything to anybody: rather the proposed changes are just a food for thought since the same game maker admits that he modifies items when he adds more modules and that I got some point with my previous comment.
I have ALSO tried to add some extra flavor to the game, proposing brief stories, descriptions, background for items, explanations for the suggested changes (that are not the result of a power-player approach) and some sense behind equipment scores, or new, powerful items achievable only through crafting quests.
In particular, weapons have a basic score that changes with the material and enchantments, partially inspired to D&D 3.X, as well as armors that were somehow affected by a lack of consistency and coherence at high levels. (the table with original armors shows it very well).
So, I hope that you will appreciate the tool (the focus is not on the changes) without starting another controversy about this topic because it is not my aim and I know that some of you are very attached to the game as it is now.
Cheers.
PS: I don't plan to interfere anymore with the game development. I just did this for my personal amusement and because I had fun with it, that's all.
