Does Trait Checks Need Original Traits

I noticed I cannot learn flurry with 5 + 2 = 7 agility. I just want to know if I can pass trait checks with item bonuses.

The clear answer is NO. Traits boosted by equipment do not count toward trait requirements of skills.

There's a confusion over the wording of the question.

1) Equipment bonuses COUNT towards trait checks for QUESTS etc.
2) Equipment bonuses DO NOT count towards prerequisites for SKILLS.

Thanks! By trait check I assumed only quests' requirements are called trait checks.
