Do I need to keep the Magister's note?

It says;

Spoiler

"Remember to re-supply this emergency depot - The Magister".

So first time round in the Citadel I assumed that I should leave it in the chest so that when I returned there'd be more goodies in there/it would be re-supplied. But no - no more goodies and note itself gone. Luckily I'd saved just before entering the Citadel, so I've run through again, kept the note and now it's sitting in my vault....

Does the thing have any use?

The note has no functional impact on the game. (I say this as someone who has completed the main quest.) The contents of the crate do not replenish -- but they give a bit of foreshadowing of things to come.

At this point I could so with all the space I can get in the main vault - not knowing exactly what is to come - so being able to get rid of a slot is good. :lol: :lol:
