This is the 4th time I've finished this game and I only now realized that ogre potions, betrayed hero potions and the heroism potion when used also increase the DPS of ranged weapons (and in the description of these items it states that it only works melee)DPS

Yes. I'm currently going archer rogue, and I also noticed that Potion of Ogre Might and Giant Strength add damage to bows.
This is strange because it shouldn't work.

Moreover, it also works with wands and staves with purely elemental damage.

Potion of Strength, yes, because that's what this thread is about: "ogre potions, betrayed hero potions and the heroism potion". But Scorpion/Spider Venom say "blade" in the description so I would like this confirmed. Have you confirmed, or are just assuming of course? Don't be mad at me for asking, I'm making update notes in the Wiki and only want to update if something has been definitely confirmed.

EDIT : it seems from other posts on the forum it does work on Bows.

ALSO : I'm assuming the Strength/Poison bonuses do NOT work on off-hand weapons, but is that the case?

ALSO ALSO : what if unarmed main hand but with a secondary weapon?
