Continue loads incorrect save file

During the Giles quest i saved the game into a third slot. I have leveled up several times, but sometimes the game will load that file if I select Continue. I would like to delete the file in that spot but I do not see how to do so. This isnt a bug by any definition, really just slightly annoying since it is easy to load the autosave or quicksave. I love the game so far, looking forward to Crimson Hills update!

Following a change to the save/load mechanics, there have been a few issue reported with incorrect loading.

If possible, the next time it happens, create a backup save file (see support thread on how) and send it to the support email. David might be able to see what is causing the issue.

Please generate a backup and email it to me, and is there a pattern you have detected as when the wrong game is loaded? for instance, after dying?

Finally had it happen again. Email with file sent to you, David.

Would it be feasible to make a Delete Save option? If the file was gone it could not happen, right?

It's a possibility, yes, I might implement that. Checking your file.

It keeps happening to me I reported before getting fed up I played game saved and reloaded a few hrs later it reloaded a saved gave from earlier happens all the time. I end up saving it on a day and a quick then on a close to be sure it's safed. But I was in hurry so just saved and now lost old game.

Should have been fixed. Please send me a backup file to [email protected] with a brief note about when it happened so I find it in the log, and what area
