The time-line does NOT claim the "anonymous adventurer" is the same as the Character from the game. It's a reasonable inference, but as bodies are found in the telescope area, clearly other people were stumbling across the mess.

The hero may be famous by some deeds, yet he may have (wisely) chosen not to have his name associated with certain events in particular (exotic princesses, unbelievable tales about Andoria, etc).
