Re: Cloud Backup error

Okay, some people seems to be getting this error 12 on certain devices. It seems to be a problem with cached data in Google Play Services on the device. I'm investigating to see if it can be solved on my end, but this seems to help:

1) Log out and exit the game using the "Exit" button in main menu.
2) Delete Google Play Services Cache AND data.
3) Delete Google Play Games cache
4) Uninstall + Install game and try again.

I am going to rename the thread so other people with the same error comes here.

Regarding sign-in error, that really can't be a problem in my end. Try a restart, or clearing the cache as said above.

Still getting error 12 :(

All I have now is my backup file. No access to my account files.

What device / android version?

You'll have to use the file for now, I'll look into this for next update. google tells me it is affecting a 3% of users, but I have to investigate the reasons.

The location is the root of your device storage. Not inside any folder.

I'm unable to access my root storage, system storage, is there anyway you can include an option to restore from the download folder in the next update?

At this point, I'm locked out from cloud restore and file restore.

Restore from download location should work, it is already included (from version 947 - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=142&start=10#p18928 - -You can now restore backups automatically if they are in the android Downloads folder, in addition to the old location. )

If you have that or newer version, I'm not sure why it doesn't work for you. :(

Also, it's strange that you don't have access to root of internal storage (where EK.bak should be stored).

It keeps restoring the wrong file. If i could force it to restore from the download folder, it would be fine, but it's defaulting to the root folder and a worthless file i created to try to access the restore from the continue option instead of the start new game option. I can't delete the file in the root storage or even access that folder so I'm stuck here unless there is a way i can delete the root storage .bak file, I'm in a bad spot.
