Then what about asking about mage training would that skill not be sufficient if added to the cleric

Scratch that I just went back and reread magic training and it would definitely have to be adjusted

I also went back and reread guardian wolf that's not fair it's just some in creature the mage should be allowed to wield it
That's what I want. A type of ability that allows, in a limited way, the use of staffs and wands by clerics. It has to be limited to Fire and Spirit elemental damage.

That would go against the whole design of clerics in this game though.
Limited weapon and armor options are one of their core limitations.
Which means that they are the only class in the game which no ranged option, as even a warrior can pick up a bow.
But in return they have other really powerful powers, like buffing and healing allies and dealing large amounts of fire or spirit damage.

Not every class should be able to do everything, class identity is important to make them feel unique.
If you want a ranged build I recommend that you play a mage or a rogue.

I've been using Mage for a long time and Rogue Archer. I don't think that just because a Cleric uses wands or staffs, they stop being unique. Even due to the difficulty of the religious dogmas of the three, they may have a certain limitation in the use of these weapons. Like, they being limited to the use of spiritual elemental damage, they would only have access to the Sacred Tree Branch, Golden Wand and Staff of Wonders.

It does. It makes the character like a mini version of Mage, with the ability to heal itself and others(Heal Wounds), an immortal being(Intervention), a tank(Holy Shield), and a Undead Slayer(Sacred Fire). He would be everything! And it would overlaps the other class in everything.

This could easily be fixed by giving other classes new advanced abilities. Long-distance for warriors, based on spears or crossbows, one based on traps and how to disarm them, giving more explosive trap options to the rogue (conventional fire, shock or ice explosive trap). The wizard doesn't even need it, he's already very versatile and fun to play, with his basic constructions, arcane knight, death knight, summoner and elementalist (So much versatility that he didn't feel unbalanced. Wow, he's a wizard using blades and fighting hand-to-hand. ferociously as if it were a tank). Seriously, Exiled Kingdoms is great, you don't even need more than four classes, you can just give them extra skills that completely change the playstyle. One day I still dream of a cleric with druid skills, or a necromancer wizard.

Look at the wizard! A mage as a tank, while Hirge and even Grissenda are demoted to support. Even myself, I pulverize enemies with Incinerate and Magic Barrier (I don't even use weapons often, it's so powerful and fun to play as a mage). A little ranged damage won't ruin the cleric, it'll just make him more fun to play.

But if so, I have no more arguments. 😞

I don't know if you give the cleric a good range to attack the mage doesn't hold half as much value I mean think about when you're starting the game the mage sucks to start with because it's so easy to die and a weapon is so expensive but if you start out as the cleric you start out with a good amount of defense you can't start like that with the mage no matter how hard you try

I can take both the warrior and the cleric straight through the game without dying you can't do that to the mage sorry about the multiply

Nope, nothing to be fix. First, you want the Cleric class to have the ability to handle wands or staffs. Now you want ALL class to have a new advanced abilities. Bruhhhh 💀

But can't deny the good point of your argument. But you know what's more better than those? Freetown and Liberty.

Damn landslide! Damn Mercian Civil Defense! We were robbed of a great opportunity. 😠

It was basically for her that I wanted some ranged damage. I seek more to increase my personality, magic and blessings than the damage and protection themselves, basically overcoming everything and everyone based on faith in The Three. But I have already accepted my defeat and that my arguments are weak. 🤭
