Captain Re-Joins Party Basically Dead

This was brought up a year-ish ago and remains an annoyance.

The Captain auto-leaves your party.
When he re-joins, seems atleast a day / rest later, he has the same injuries / HP as when he left.

This can create a situation when a party first gets to town, loses the captain, rests, gets the captain again, and than has to rest again. AND if you need it to be daylight, than you got to waste more time..

It's a domino effect that really destroys the flow of the game for no benefit.

For clarity, I can see an issue with Companions being dismissed and immediately recruited as an exploit. But, there's got to be a way to code it (if the party member rejoins less than 5 in-game hours, no change, if after, full recovery); or just let it slide as it's not really an issue compared to the issue of having a 1 HP w/wound member join.

I have it noted in my to-do list as "heal all companions when party rests". So eventually, believe it or not, I'll get there :p
