Cant kill guy at dragon coast. Need advice

im level 21 and have completed all story quests and side quests. I have tried everything with the cleric behind me healing and the ankh of life plus every potion that does anything relavent and the dude still kills me . Its been a couple of months now and i cant even play the new content because of this guy. Do i have to grind on this game for another couple of weeks or is there a trick like hes got a weakness or something. It would be fun to continue but i have given up at tbis point.

You dont have to kill him. In some cases it would be better if sir valeran is alive. Check your conversation options, be polite. There are also some trait checks i think per5 and int 3 but im not sure.

He is vulnerable to death and poison, so choose an appropriate weapon. And he deals some heavy fire damage, so make sure you have good fire protection.

As was already said, there is also a peaceful way. If I remember correctly, only PER 3 is strictly necessary, although INT 3 and PER 5 make things easier.
