Can't get rid of certain items?

Hello, was just wondering why I can't sell or drop certain items like the copper coin, or books, or letters. It takes up space in my vault. Even tryd putting them in another chest or barrel and I'm not allowed. Need the space. Update on this? Thanks

This is to ensure you don't accidentally sell an item needed for a quest. For example, the Copper Coin is required to access the Thieves Guild. If you sold it, you would loss out on the chance to join the guild, miss 2-3 quests (or routes for quests).Its for your protection...

There are two items I can think of that depending on how you handle the quests, become stuck in your inventory/stash permanently, though both have been mentioned to David and may already have been addressed.

You need to start using vaults. You can have up to 4 vaults and all things can go there, including the ones that are quest related and you can't drop them.

Also, you can have additional vault space in certain areas (your house, your tower...).

It looks to me that you just didn't discovered vaults and for what they are for.

I've used all four of my vaults. FULL. I just recently purchased a home with two chest. Might come in handy.

You also have storage in the tower you come across thru the main quest.

That's 7 full inventories. If you need more space, it's bc u are hoarding nonuseful or non unique items.

As a completionist myself, I have come to terms w a beta not being the best time to try to get 100% items.

Very helpful. Guess I need to find the tower. I'm pretty sure you are talking about the tower with the option to rest. I have seen the chest didn't know it would store and hold items. Good to know. I have reduced my inventory so I hav lots of space now. guess I was a bit of a hoarder. Thanks for suggestions.
