Bug: Enemy groups vanish when reloading after a partial defeat

My favorite approach on fighting Yaksa is to lure a few of them far away from the rest of the group and fighting them separately. I know, it's cowardly, but a valid strategy in my opinion which makes life much easier (and longer). However, if I save and reload between these partial fights, the rest of the enemy group vanishes.

I think this behavior has been around since the very beginning and maybe it's not a bug but how the game mechanics currently works. Something about how enemy groups are tagged and how these tags are saved. But I think this is problematic for two reasons: First, obviously, it can trivialize a fight when defeating a single enemy is enough to get rid of the whole encounter. Second, any special items (or even quest items) which might be carried by one of the vanished enemies are lost forever. I don't know if the latter situation can occur in the current game, but it's at least a possibility which should be considered.

I don't know if there is a simple solution to this problem or if it's inherent to the game mechanics, but I wanted to bring it to attention nonetheless.

it is indeed a bug. All enemies should be present in the battle, if some are outside combat boundaries, they should be warped inside the boundaries.

This still provides tactical advantage, because it might take them several rounds to arrive, but encounters are not meant to be split into separate fights.

I have been trying to reproduce this problem to no avail. In theory, enemies from the same encounter are "warped in" if they are out of boundaries, and when I have tried, it worked just like that. Can you give me some pointers on how to leave some enemies out of the fight?

okay, I think I got it. thanks.
Just in case it's still relevant: I tested some more and found that one essential point is that I have to attack first after luring an enemy away from it's group. Then only this enemy gets drawn into the battle. If I let him attack me, than all other will also join. At least these are the observations from my latest attempts on cheating on the game. ;)
