Best weapons, armour and gears for Adaon

Before the latest updates about companion quest, I was not intending to use Adaon much beyond the necessary. As a result, I sold off all Rogue gears including limited and unique ones. Now I am going to have Adaon laugh me to my face as I would have to re-engage his services again and have to re-equip him properly.

1. What weapons, armour and gears can I buy that are best for Adaon?
2. Where can I buy these weapons, armour and gears best from?

Keep in mind the difficulty of the companion quests is targeted at levels 13-16, you don't need incredibly powerful gear. You can probably gear him in Velites/Assassin gear and he'll perform just fine, I think.

Is this only covered a common shop or all available shop you could find in the game (like Traveler Merchant, Shady Traveler and some "certain shop")?

The Wiki has all the equipment, with where to get it (drops, shops, etc).

For body, there's the Kevlar Vest from the arc (drops in arc) or the Undermother's Hide. There are a lot of mid-range uncommon drops (Primal Ice Chain Shirt / Traitor's Chain Shirt, Tolassain Chain Shirt), but if you need to buy something quickly, the Forest Chain Shirt might be a quick and easy buy (sold in four places in the game, look at wiki)

On that note, you can buy the complete forest chain set as a decent quick-fix

Depending on your guild membership and current stockpile of misc. equipment, the Explorer Gauntlets (sold in Golden Hand Library) have decent defense plus a +1 to AGL. Keep in mind trait increases don't stack so if you have to consider your belt options.
