You could also memorize the locations of the traps in a dungeon. I personally have a sheet of notebook beside me that has a list of the locations of traps in a dungeon.

Some of them are random... Besides, having to constantly consult spreedsheets would kind of break the "immersion" and the fun for me

This is kind of off the rails now, so I will add my 2 cents.

AWA is part of a good rogue build. AWA is perception for traps, AGI/evasion is for disarming traps. All three mental stats have multiple checks during quests. I end up with a 3 in each trait. Which is a pretty cheap investment.

I am not sure what the warrior hp delta is over rogues, but my rogues end up with ~700 hp, so they can tank a fair bit when companions go down. I would use Hirge on IM to avoid starting over.

If you play this game enough, it is hard to not memorize where things are. I tend to play like David made the game's goal is to kill the PC
