'arcanist' Related Questions

I invested 2 points in 'arcanist' skill.
However, the mana consumed when using the skill is unchanged.
Why?

The current weapon is using 'staff of mighty missile'.

U may have misunderstood the description comrade. The skill arcanist only deducts some mana cost on items labeled as "Arcane" such as wand of scorching, first winter and many other weapons useable only by mages because when u run out of mana there's no way u can use these items no matter how hard u press on the attack button. "Arcane" items requires mana to be used(press on the item and tap on the blue letters written on it). The skill arcanist is specifically geared towards these only. It is used to reduce some mana cost of these items with arcane labels and doesn't reduce, in any way, the mana cost of ur active skills like lightning bolt and fireball. Just think of it like an Avtomat kalashnikova but instead of ammo u use mana as bullets instead and the "arcanist" skill is like the infinite ammo weapon upgrade(lol). Anyway, lemme know if it was something else. Play hard comrade

If you have Arkane Staff/wand - you are renting possibility to use it. For each shot you pay with mana. You can buy a license called Arcanist. This licence works ONLY for Arcane products. License provides the same company that makes arcane items. There are three levels of licenses
1. Bronze. Reduces mana cost by 1
2. Silver. Reduces mana cost by 2
3. Gold. Full mana refund for any Arcane product.
This Licence DOES NOT work for any other products that are NOT under the label of Arcane.

Isn't this kind of false as Arcane goes all the way up to "5. Diamond"? The license stops at gold though :/

Just think of Arcanist skill as an "infinite ammo" for wand and staff with Arcane attribute up to III(3). If Arcane IV or V then it will cost you just like regular Arcane I and Arcane II respectively.
