Exiled Kingdoms doesn't use a class system, but loose terms have been created by players to describe certain builds.
Arcane Knight is used to describe mages built around the skills
Arcane Blade or
Vampiric Blade.
Directly required quests:
1: The four mage tower quests are required to gain access to the Icemyst.
A:
An Easy Job (Level 6 to start, needs 2 merples to complete).
B:
Important Research (Level 7 to start, 3 living ice chunks to complete)
C:
Stopping Prejudice
D:
Outstanding Apprentice
2:
Cold Trail for the skill trainer to teach Arcane Blade / Vampiric Blade.
3: Not triggering or getting a favorable resolution to
A Mad Wizard.
Required Traits:
4: STR 3
Given the above, the hardest parts about the above to-do list is retrieving the ring for Outstanding Apprentice as it's way in the back of a troll filled cave, and retrieving the books for Stopping Prejudice as it requires fighting a few touch enemies (less if you have INT 4 to use teleport to skip most of the dungeon and the guardian fight).
So in theory, one could invest into STR 3 / INT 4 really early, and struggle a bit, and with skill / luck / tons of out-of-game knowledge, get an Arcane weapon skill at Level 7, but it's a bit much.
Building a solid mage build and working through the above quests might result an more natural achievement at level 10 or 12. One can always re-set skill points to change to a melee mage.
Getting Fire Mastery (PERS 3, Lessor Summon 2) will help a lot.
Getting the better gear, etc from progressing the game will help a lot, too.
