Hi all,

Due to the latest updates, I have taken again some plays with my 1-hand warrior and the cleric, realizing that I'm not satisfied at all, so if you have any advice you are welcome.

1-hand warrior. I really don't know how to properly invest skill points. Duel is a pivotal skill to increase damage but bash and whirlwind attack inteerupt the consecutive series. Also, Infantry training looks good but is not resolving Vs paralysis as much as rage does. In short, I dont know how to properly develop an effective sword and shield character, while the 2-hands version is much easier due to a better coherence among skills.

Cleric. The dilemma here is that even with the new update there are more spells than slots. The cleric has a lot of good stuff that boost the party but the summon wolf doesn't look that great and I don't know how to take out the best of him, also because some spells are highly specific Vs groups of creatures as turn undead (love it Vs lich and stuff) and in particular I wonder if retribution is really useful or not.
Even more, there is no fear from warriors guild that I can apply to the cleric for extra melee damage. The ones improving critical look to me a waste of skill points due to the low strength score, while blood lust (that ironically stacks very well with the cleric's high charisma) isn't really that useful, and totally useless Vs game bosses.
How do you build yours?

If you want to have good 1h warrior, you definitely need infantry training. The paralysis resistance isn't perfect, but it still provides some relief when fighting opponents who paralyze. Besides, that skill provides much more ;), and you can have battle rage too if you want ;).

If whirlwind doesn't suit you, then remember that cleave doesn't have that problem ;). You can use whirlwind as a finishing blow ;).

Bash is more of a crowd control skill, rather than combat one. It's best used at the beginning of confrontation, or if you don't want to face many opponents right away,, when enemy becomes furious, casts spell, or if the enemy has duel skill equal, or better than yours, and you want to slow down the pace of the fight.

Other advice I can give you is: get as much armor, and powerful skills as you can. Having precision strikes, massive criticals, heavy handed, duel, body development all at level 1 is better than having just one of these at level 3. You can figure out the rest ;)

Serghiy, did you use Body development for both builds?

Atomos, thanks for your advice. It makes sense, especially for Whirlwind attack. I think I'll keep it as last ability to invest my remaining skill points, to quickly kill weak mobs or as finishing blow vs. big bosses immune to pushback.

What I really find irritating is bloodlust, I don't think it's really useful.

So far, instead, the augmented summon wolf spell is working decently, especially with the other cleric spells that pump up the whole party at once.

You know, probably the very annoying thing about the one-hand warrior is that abilities are somehow overlapping a bit, making it more confusing that other classes or builds who have one skill for one result in a clearer way.

PS: what do you think of the pushback ability for the rogue? Worth any investment?

And why my cleric gets constantly stun or paralyzed even with spirit resistance up to 100?
