In the abandoned tower the book that describes the tower tells you that "you've already read this" and leaves it at that.
I really dislike that because sometimes i like reviewing the content inside. Instead the book should state that you have already read this then give you an option to leave or continue and read. I feel this should apply to all books involved in all quests, not just the ones that give XP points.
It's probably my bias as a loreseeker, but i don't see how this inconveniences the people who don't read the books, but it definitely helps out everyone returning to older dungeons and re-reading the texts you come across for personal enjoyment. I remember a member of the community created a few icons for items in the game (can't find the threat but David posted hevwould use them) including many books. If they are used then people accidentally clicking the same book a lot would be a smaller issue.
