Hello guys, how are you?
I'm really enjoying to play this game, since it has a lot of exploration to do.
I will show you my character status, and I would like to ask some questions.

And here is my assistant:

So, I tried to do 2 quests: Forgotten Lore and An Initiate's End, but apparently I'm too weak to finish it.
I would like to know if you guys could give me some advice. Should I do the town hall quests before going to the main quests? Also, what you guys think about my status, skills and equips?

Thanks

Re: I need some advice

Your character is still very, very low, so work on level building for a bit. I suggest getting a Companion first (Gressenda is my suggestion). While you can run a few Town Hall Quests (pick ones with lower gold rewards for easier time), I suggest you put that off for a bit as you'll have low gossip chance (harder to learn hints) and might get a quest for an area you're not quite ready for yet.

For Gressenda, you don't need to beat anything. You can make a mad dash into Kleyou Tomb, get the ring and run out. It's a sneaky way to do it, but you can get a Companion very early which will help with the game.

Take this. It's dangerous to go alone.

Early on I think I did the Lannegar Mine several times and then the Tomb in Lannegar Valley several times as well, until I got up to around 8th level or so, then started heading for Kingsbridge to take on some slightly more advanced quests. Doing Town Hall quests can be tricky; if you try to do them from a more difficult area to the west too early, you run the risk of failing multiple quests and getting a bad reputation in those towns. But eventually it's good to do those town quests to get a better reputation, since some quests won't be available until you have a high enough reputation.

Re: I need some advice

Looking ahead: Do you want to use Light or 1-Hand weapons? Light weapons (aka Agility weapons) get damage only from Agility. In contrast, 1-Hand weapons (aka hand weapons) get damage from STR and AGL (half from each). Picking which type might influence your Trait and skill set up.

Flurry, an advanced skill, requires 6 AGL.
Infantry Training requires the use of a 1-Hand weapon (not a Light weapon).

Flurry gives an great boost to attack speed for a short time. Infantry Training prevents stunning and reduces critical hit damage.

Overall, I suggest going the route of 1-Handed weapons simply to get the benefit of Infantry Training. You could also raise Agility to 6 to get Flurry (which pairs well with Duel).

Also, you can reset your build later. Shield users get some benefit in early game because of the extra defense. It's not uncommon for players to use a shield to reach the mid-game than switch out for a 2-H weapon (requires a rebuild).

Re: I need some advice

Hey guys, thank you all for the amazing answers.

I just tried to do the quest of Gressenda, but I was kicked out by the Ghosts hahaha.

About the weapon, I like the idea about 2H, and for now, I would use 1H until I get a better level (like VDX said). I didn't know about the light and 1H weapon. So the 1H weapon doesn't have a modifier, right? (like in the 'Light' from a light sword).

So I believe I will improve Str and Agl. And Adaon I will improve its traits about gossip.

Yep. 2-H and Light will have the modifier, 1-Hand weapons won't. There's been some discussion about adding it for consistency.
Complete weapon list:

Also, it's up to player choice, but there's a benefit to increasing mental traits such as Intelligence, Awareness and Personality.

Go buy a potion of deathward. Drink it when you attack the ghost. At level 6 you should have no problem completing that quest(assuming you aren't playing on ironman mode). I don't think your problem is your character build, it's lack of preparation for the encounter. Ghost are rough at first because they hit hard with death elemental damage, so you need elemental protection.

Yes, I did it yesterday and I finished the quest :D
Now, it is better to go hunt with Gressenda in the Lannegar Mine, like Cuckoorex said, right?

Also, it says in the Wiki page that I could find Orcslicer and a small ruby in the Kleyou tomb, but I didn't find it.

Orcslicer is a random chest drop found in many many places. Key word random. You might run an area 100 times and never see it then get it 3 times in a row. Also i think its chance to drop is higher in some places than others, and your level factors in there somewhere. I know i have seen it in low level areas, but not until i was a much higher level.

As far hunting areas go... that's really about player choice. My preference at your level is to Explore, fill in the maps and complete quests. I don't really start farming for xp until level 10 to 12.
