Advanced skills, etc. for Companions

Hi guys-- been playing for about 3-4 months and fell in love with the game. I'm running 4 characters (I'm kinda OCD) and keeping them straight is much fun.

OK so what's my deal? The post title sums it up. How the frack do I get advanced skills for my companions. And is there any way to actually use Adaon to disarm traps? Apologies if these have been addressed elsewhere, but otoh maybe there are other newbies who will benefit from a thread on it. Thx!

There are 3 quests (1 for each companion) that go deeper into that companions backstory and at the end you get their advanced skills unlocked. There is a level requirement to get any of the three quests. I think it is 13? For hirge once you reach the lvl requirement she will have a vision when in a big city. For the other 2 it is a random encounter on roads that you can only take advantage of if you have the specific companion in your party.

Adaon will disarm traps if his chance of disarming a trap is 65% and above
