Being old we used to play the game Chainmail with lead figures in a sandbox.
The fantasy supplement in the back of Chainmail was the fore runner of D&D.
My brother, myself and our friends spent hours and hours playing D&D for years....now you have captured that same feel for the experienced RPG enthusiast, and for this I say a heartfelt thank you.
I have one purchased the whole game and although I just started please continue developing and fine tuning the game for us all.

I have to write that it is harder and harder to find game like this, regardless of platform.

And what means game like this? Game with simple (but good) graphics but very interesting story.

Generally, saving the world by killing of someone is quite common (Wizardry, Diablo, FreeDroid and many more). But there are many ways how to make such way interesting.

I have finished W8 (in opposite to W7 where I only came very close to end). There is relationship between badman (Dark Savant) and Vi Domina (NPC that may follow your group). And of course, I should not forget on Cosmic Forge (that can destroy the world, but you don't know exactly what is it until you are in the end), a powerful item of what you fight.

In FreeDroid, as name hints, you are a robot (droid). And you have to correct computer in headquarters of company producing robots - because those robots went crazy and attacking all.

Hard to say what is used here. I cannot identify it at this time.

Sister (I would like to know if sister is also in case I would play as woman) you don't know (but that is also very powerful like you) seems like borrowed from Star Wars (mostly Episode I: New hope) and it may bring something very interesting (and I hope that I will not be disappointed).

Very interesting for future may be also that family relationship with mage from old ages (mostly if you are not a mage, huh? planned adding mage would break this).

But all of it is only bonus to story. So I hope that final battle will be more than only killing of bad man (or rather bad men?). Current situation is very foggy about final battle.

Regardless of words about story above, thank you for the game.

wow, I didn't even know about Chainmail(although I knew 1st edition derived from a previous wargame). Thanks for sharing that nice memory, friend.

In a way, I see EK as a gigantic D&D table where a few tenths of thousands of friends come to have fun, like I used to DM back in the good old days.
