A way to use paid mercenaries without paying them

This only applies to mercenaries found outside of the towns. What I've been doing is dragging monsters towards them, at which point the merc will engage them in combat. This pays dividends while you're at a low level, but won't reward you with the experience points, it's more useful to thin out larger mobs or provide a bit of damage to larger creatures who can then be picked off much easier after they kill the mercenary

HI! Iv'e been doing a similar tactic in new garand sewers. dragging the rats back to the thiefs guild and letting Kardagis take care of them. but sometimes she kills a rat in the doorway then you can't get out because she doesn't move.

Take recall scrolls if you choose this tactic until a resolution is implemented.
