Personally I would take the tiara; it allows you to see any traps around you alot better. Good to have when yiure trying to finish up a dungeon on half health

Definitely the tiara for the reasons noted above. The one point of armour difference is outweighed by the ability to better avoid traps, which look like becoming an even bigger threat in later iterations of the game.

Wear the helm and give your companion the tiara - I prefer having stuff like Detection on Follower instead of mainchar in favour of raw power :D

Seconded. Companions aren't very powerful anyways, so just dump them with useful stuff.

In my experinse tiara is not helping for traps. Either Detection skill is not in the game yet, or only activate if you are Rogue with trap skill. Tiara only useful fot light resistance

As per your warrior profile, it is showing that u have already got and additional INT through some wearable.

This might be late for you but just for reference, the additional traits are accepted from one wearable only and they will take the upper value.

Detection definitely works. Trap Master only affects disarming traps, which is different than detecting them. The skill you're looking for is Dungeoneering. The effect you're looking for is called Perception on your character sheet under details.

Without Tiara, my Rogue has 23% Perception (chance of finding traps/secret doors). With the Tiara, you get +1 INT and Detection II. +1 INT gives 5% Perception, so that moves it up to 28%. But when I put the Tiara on I have 34% Perception, so Detection II is the remaining 6%.

Note that +1 INT also gives you a 5% disarm bonus.

So overall the Tiara is like getting 1 point in Dungeoneering and a half point in Trap Master.

I'll write this all up on the Wiki clearly eventually :p
